First story of yours I ever read, Helen! I read it at the ERWA, way
back when. Since I don't consider myself a writer, I don't consider
myself qualified to critique anything and so I generally do not do so.
I wondered how this would translate to audio. I was not disappointed!
Just as hot in the audio version as the text.
Nan is one of my favorite characters of yours. The Nan-Fiona conflict is very well written.

I'm glad you enjoyed this! Most of the stories for this month were written a couple years ago, before I started the podcast, and it's been strange, but good, to revisit them again. "A Man In A Kilt" has always been a favorite, and I'd love to do something more with Nan and Jimmy in the future. Will have to see what I can come up with when I get the time one day ;)

I've been listening to Heat Flash for quite some time and I enjoy your stories very much but I wanted to comment that A Man in a Kilt is my favorite story to date. I did raise an eyebrow when Nan allowed Fiona to take liberties with her man but I loved how you set the scene for Nan to have her perfect revenge so it worked out quite nicely. Both Nan and Jimmy are intriguing characters and I do hope to see them again. I'll continue to be a loyal listener and fan of your work.

I just wanted to let you know first off I'm a long-time listener of the Heat Flash podcast and have always enjoyed your stories but I have to say, to date, A Man In A Kilt is my favorite. I must admit I did raise an eyebrow when Nan allowed Fiona to take liberties with Jimmy but I loved the way you handled it in the story so that Fiona got her due. Nan and Jimmy are engaging characters and I hope to see more of them again. You've got a loyal listener. Enjoy your weekend!

Thank you! A Man In A Kilt has been very successful since it was first written. It was originally on the ERWA website in their story gallery, and then published in print in "CREAM: The Best of the Erotica Readers and Writers Association." It will be published in e-book format in the next month by Logical Lust. Jim Brown, the publisher of Logical Lust, is a Scotsman himself, and he said I did a pretty good job on getting the Scottish accent right ;)
